A projekt negyedik kiállításán Fülöp Gábor [1981] Flóra (2017 fa, 160x40x40 cm) és Dinnert Ferenc Pál [1820-1894] Flóra (1860 fa, 159×39,5×42 cm) című plasztikái kerültek a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria kupolaterébe, Stróbl Alajos Perseus és Engel József Éva című márványszobrainak közvetlen társaságába.

A múlttal történő kapcsolatteremtés Fülöp Gábor munkamódszerének egyik alapja. Az archaikus vagy korai művészet fundamentumként szolgál számára. Egyrészt a szobrászati hagyomány modelljeként, másrészt munkáinak tematikus kiindulópontjaként is tekint ezekre a művészeti tradíciókra.

Fülöp munkáiban sajátosan értelmezi újra a szobrászat hagyományos technikáit és tematikáit. Érdeklődése középpontjában az élő organizmusok egymással és környezetükkel való viszonya áll, visszatérő témája az emberi test. Szemléletmódjának alapja a keleti filozófia és a panteizmus. Kulcsfontosságú számára a szobrok felülete, amely a belső és a külső határaként egyszerre elválaszt és összeköt. Művének inspirálója Dinnert Ferenc Pál Flóra című alkotásának anyaghasználata és a mű klasszikus szobrászati előképekhez való viszonya volt. Saját panteisztikus Flóra-verziója Dinnert szobrának hasonló testtartású és azonos léptékű, magára a mitologikus témára is reflektáló parafrázisa. Fülöp szobrán a kurtizánból a tavasz istennőjévé vált Flóra testét borító virágok elfedik az eredeti plasztikán is csak sejtelmesen elővillanó női bájakat. Ezzel a nőalak végképp istenséggé lényegül és eggyé olvad a tavaszi természettel.
A negyedik kiállítás február 11-ig látható a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria első emeleti kupolaterében. A projekt következő kiállítása március 8-án, csütörtökön este a Múzeum+ esemény keretében nyílik meg.

The 4th pair of sculptures in the project are the Flora (2017, wood, 160x40x40 cm) by Gábor Fülöp (1981) and the Flora (1860, wood, 159×39,5×42 cm) by Ferenc Pál Dinnert (1820-1894).

Reaching back to make contact with the past is one of the main pillars of Gábor Fülöp’s working method. Archaic and early art provide a fundamental basis for his work. Fülöp looks upon artistic traditions both as a model of sculptural convention and as a thematic starting point for his own works, which are unique reinterpretations of traditional sculptural techniques and subjects. His main focus lies on the relationship that living organisms have with each other and with their surroundings; the human body is a recurring motif. His way of looking at things is based on Eastern philosophy and pantheism. The surface of his sculptures is of key importance, for as the barrier between inside and outside, it both separates and connects.
Fülöp was inspired both by the material Ferenc Pál Dinnert used to carve his Flora and by the work’s relationship with precedents from classical sculpture. His own pantheistic version of Flora is a paraphrase of Dinnert’s work that copies the posture and the scale, and reflects both on itself and on the mythological topic. In Fülöp’s sculpture, the flowers covering the body of Flora conceal the feminine allure of the courtesan-turned-goddess of spring, whose physical charms are anyway only hinted at in the original work. This emphasises her transformation into a divine being and the way she became one with nature in springtime.
The 4th two sculptures are exhibited until 11 February in first floor. The next exhibition will open on Thursday 8 March, in the frame of the Museum+ event.
