Az Élő gyűjtemény projekt ötödik kiállításán Antal Malvina [1987] Iteráció (2018, papírgyurma, magassága 507 cm, Ø 40 cm) és Mészáros László [1905–1945] Női torzó (1928, gipsz, 111×44×36,5 cm) című plasztikái kerültek a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria Aktszobor-kiállításának terébe.
Antal Malvina gyűjteményünkből Mészáros László torzóját választotta, amelynek lágy textúrája jelzésszerűen jeleníti meg a női testet, így szín és anyag szempontjából izgalmas átmenetet képez a kiállítótérben látható márvány aktszobrok és Antal Malvina installációja között. A torzó tömbszerűsége visszaköszön az installációt felépítő elemek formavilágában, de a helyspecifikus kortárs mű alkotóelemei formailag rímelnek az itt található márvány aktszobrokra is.

A cím ― Iteráció ― fokozatos közelítést, lineáris léptetést jelent, ami utal az installáció készítési folyamatára és lépésenként ismétlődő szerkezetére. A mű formavilága, ritmikája és fentről lefelé irányuló mozgása egyaránt a létezést szimbolizálja. Anyagának, a papírgyurmának köszönhetően a héjplasztikák a térben lebegve jelennek meg. Világunk mozgó entitásként definiálódik ebben a kortárs alkotásban. Megjeleníti azt a metamorfózis-rendszert, amelyben anyagi és szellemi létünk időben és térben determináltként, de folyamatos fejlődésben levőként mutatkozik meg.

A negyedik kiállítás április 8-ig látható a Magyar Nemzeti Galéria első emeleti Aktszobor kabinetjében. A projekt következő kiállítása április 12-én, csütörtökön este nyílik meg.

The 5th pair of sculptures in the project are the Iteration (2018, papier-maché, height 507 cm, Ø 40 cm) by Malvina Antal (1987) and the Female Torso (1928, plaster, 111×44×36.5 cm) by László Mészáros [1905–1945].
Exhibition Interieur at Hungarian National Gallery, Budapest
The artwork chosen from our collection by Malvina Antal is a torso by László Mészáros, which alludes to the female form through its palpable softness. It therefore embodies an intriguing transition of both colour and texture between the marble nudes in the exhibition room and Malvina Antal’s installation. The solid mass of the torso is echoed in the shapes of the installation’s constituent parts, yet individual components of this location-specific contemporary artwork also chime in with the forms of the marble nudes around it.

The title, Iteration, implies gradual imprvement and linear progress, and refers to the method by which the installation was made and its step-by-step, repeating structure. The morphology and rhythm of the work, as well as its top-down trajectory, all symbolise our existence. The papier-mâché from which the installation is made lends the “shell-like sculptures” the appearance of floating in space. In this work of modern art, our world is defined as an entity in motion. It represents the system of metamorphosis by which our material and spiritual being constantly develops, in a way that is determined by both space and time.

The 5th two sculptures are exhibited until 8 April in the Exhibition of nude sculptures. The next exhibition will open on Thursday 12 April.
